Russian President Vladimir Putin has had a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, during which the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was also discussed, the Kremlin press service reports.

“The situation around Nagorno-Karabakh was discussed in detail. The Russian President stressed that the situation in the region is stabilizing, and the agreements stipulated in the statement of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on 9 November are, on the whole, being consistently implemented. The successful work of the Russian peacekeepers was highlighted, who, at the request of Baku and Yerevan, ensure the ceasefire regime and the safety of the civilian population,” the statement said.
“A mutual readiness was confirmed to continue coordination on various directions of the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, in particular, within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group,” the statement noted.
