The President of the Republic of Armenia, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund, Armen Sarkissian, calls on all statesmen, spiritual leaders, political parties and organizations operating in the Diaspora, and individuals included in the Fund’s Board of Trustees to direct their full potential to the Fund’s pan-Armenian fundraising campaign “Empowerment of Border Communities.” This was announced by the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund.
All funds collected within the framework of the fundraising will be directed to the most urgent socio-economic problems of the border communities.
The call of the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian states:
“Dear compatriots,
The military operations undertaken by the adversary on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border in recent days once again impel us to unite around the Homeland and direct our efforts to its protection and empowerment.
Despite the fact that for decades they have been the target of aggressive actions, the residents of Armenia’s border communities have stood firmly on their land and have become our unwavering border guards.
Border communities have strategic significance for the security of Armenia and Artsakh; therefore, security, economic and social support for those communities is a nationwide priority.
The “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund has initiated the pan-Armenian fundraising campaign “Empowerment of Border Communities,” within the framework of which all collected funds will be directed to the most urgent socio-economic problems of the border communities.
I call on all statesmen, spiritual leaders, political parties and organizations operating in the Diaspora, and individuals included in the Fund’s Board of Trustees to direct their full potential to this fundraising, using the Fund’s channels and making monetary transfers through the online platform created specifically for this initiative on the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund’s website www.himnadram.org or through bank accounts, as well as contacting the representatives of the Fund’s local organizations in Diaspora communities, with the aim of transferring the collected funds to the Fund through those channels as well.
The Homeland begins with the border communities. The Fund constantly keeps the empowerment of border settlements at the center of its attention, implementing the restoration and development of numerous infrastructures, the introduction of innovative agricultural projects, and support programs in these communities. Today, the residents of border communities need our support, as a unified pan-Armenian family.
With united efforts, let us strengthen and empower our border communities.”
