On the occasion of Mrs. Anna Hakobyan’s presence in the United States, a splendid reception-luncheon took place on Tuesday, September 24, in honor of the Republic of Armenia’s “First Lady,” through the joint initiative of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party’s Eastern United States Regional Board and Mrs. Shoghag Hovhannessian, Cultural Advisor to the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the United States.
Mrs. Hovhannessian graciously hosted Mrs. Anna Hakobyan at her residence in Fort Lee, New Jersey, in the presence of some thirty guests residing nearby who are active in national-community affairs.
With her characteristic warmth and hospitality, Mrs. Hovhannessian welcomed Mrs. Anna Hakobyan and those present, emphasizing the importance of the “My Step” charitable foundation within the current realities of the homeland.
After expressing her thanks for the reception, Mrs. Hakobyan spoke with great enthusiasm about the foundation’s mission, its accomplished and planned activities, and her full commitment to it.
The foundation’s deputy director and head of external relations, Mrs. Talin Topalakian, then presented in detail the diverse activities initiated by the charitable institution founded in 2018, which seek to help our compatriots with various needs attain a self-sufficient and dignified livelihood.
