Recognition of Donetsk and Luhansk Independence Not on Armenia’s Agenda: Foreign Ministry Spokesman

The recognition of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics is not on Armenia’s agenda, said Vahan Hunanyan, spokesman for the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As for the question of what Armenia’s position is regarding the developments taking place in Russian-Ukrainian relations: “We, of course, want the problems existing between the two friendly states to be resolved through diplomatic dialogue and negotiations, on the basis of the norms and principles of international law and the UN Charter. As for the question of what Armenia’s position is regarding the developments taking place in Russian-Ukrainian relations:

As for the question of whether the recognition of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics by the Republic of Armenia is likely, Hunanyan replied that such a question is not on the agenda.
