An event dedicated to the Russian Federation’s State Flag took place in Nagorno-Karabakh, which began with a flag-raising ceremony. This was stated in the RF Ministry of Defense’s bulletin.
“On 22 August we celebrate the Day of the State Flag of our country; this holiday is meant to unite all those who are devoted to their homeland, for whom the history of their country and people is precious,” — Deputy Commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces, Major General Oleg Yegorov, addressed the personnel.
The ceremonial event was attended by peacekeepers and volunteers. “Today, for the first time in the history of Nagorno-Karabakh, a festive event was held on the occasion of the Day of the RF Flag in the area of the peacekeeping forces’ permanent deployment; a Russian flag measuring 50 meters in length and 5 meters in width was brought from the RF. It was displayed to the entire personnel,” — said Yegorov.
The event concluded with the ceremonial procession display of the 50-meter flag and the performance of military-patriotic songs.
