By order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, David Tonoyan, Shushan Stepanyan has been appointed press secretary of the RA Ministry of Defense. The RA Ministry of Defense’s Department of Information and Public Relations informed Armenpress of this.
Shushan Shaheni Stepanyan, military rank: major (born 1988), was born in Hadrut, and has been serving in the RA armed forces since 2019.
In 2009, she was recognized as the winner of an investigative journalism training competition organized by the European Journalism Centre and underwent training in the Netherlands.
She has been awarded the “20 Years of the RA Armed Forces”, “T.Kh.S. Isakov”, “For Impeccable Service” 1st degree, and “Marshal Baghramyan” medals, as well as certificates of honor.
Her father, Shahen Stepanyan, was an active participant in the Karabakh war and was posthumously awarded the “Combat Cross” 2nd degree order of the Republic of Artsakh.
