Tigran Avinyan Asks President to Grant Armenian Citizenship to 1,698 People

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Avinyan has asked RA President Armen Sarkissian to grant Armenian citizenship to 1,698 people. Tigran Avinyan wrote this on his Facebook page. “Taking as a basis the law ‘On Citizenship of the Republic of Armenia,’ yesterday I submitted a proposal to RA President Armen Sarkissian to grant RA citizenship to 1,698 people. The fact that such a number of people express the desire to become citizens of the Republic of Armenia, thereby also becoming part of Armenian statehood, inspires and gives additional strength to carry out our work with greater responsibility
