The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to carry out its tasks in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. The peacekeepers exercise round-the-clock control over the situation and the maintenance of the ceasefire regime from 27 observation posts. This was stated in the report of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
As reported, the ceasefire regime is maintained along the entire line of contact. The Russian peacekeeping contingent ensured the movement of six convoys of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces through the Lachin corridor in the northern and southern directions.
The Russian peacekeepers ensure the safety of civilian movement and the restoration of civilian infrastructure.
The architectural-demining groups of the Russian humanitarian response centre continue demining operations in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. In the past day, 10 hectares of territory and 3 km of roads have been cleared, and 17 explosive objects have been found. In total, since 23 November 2020, 1,900 hectares of territory, 583 km of roads, and 1,658 structures, including 30 social facilities, have been cleared of unexploded ordnance. A total of 25,404 explosive objects have been found and neutralized.
