The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
Closed are the roads leading from the “Amberd” high-mountain meteorological station to Amberd fortress and to Lake Kari in the Aragatsotn Province.
The Dilijan curves in the Tavush Province are closed for trucks with trailers.
The Vardenyats Pass (for trucks with trailers) and the Spitak curves in the Lori Province are difficult to pass.
Snow is falling in the Shirak, Kotayk and Lori Provinces, in the cities of Aparan and Ashtarak in the Aragatsotn Province, in the Aragats, Talin and Tsaghkahovit regions, in the cities of Dilijan, Noyemberyan and Berd in the Tavush Province, in Jermuk in the Vayots Dzor Province, in Sevan and Chambarak in the Gegharkunik Province, and on the Saravan-Zanger road section in the Vayots Dzor Province.
There is a snowstorm in the Ashotsk and Amasia regions of the Shirak Province.
There is fog in the city of Abovyan in the Kotayk Province.
On the Lanjik-Maralik road in the Shirak Province, there is ice in places.
According to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles; on the Russian side there are about 430 accumulated trucks.
Drivers are advised to drive exclusively with winter tires.
