As a result of yet another Azerbaijani provocation, the Republic of Artsakh has been under effective blockade for a day, and the rights of thousands of citizens have been violated.
Owing to the situation created, citizens coming from Armenia to Artsakh have spent the night in Goris, and some — including women and children — in the Lisagor community of the Shushi district.
Let us recall that on 12 December, at around 10:30, the Azerbaijani side, violating the provisions of the 9 November 2020 trilateral agreement, closed the only road of life connecting Artsakh to the world, citing environmental reasons, and violating the vital interests and rights of the civilian population. The transport link of the Lisagor, Mets Shen, Hin Shen and Yeghtsahogh villages of the Shushi district with the capital Stepanakert has been interrupted.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs will provide additional information regarding the developments of the situation.
