The 5 prisoners returned to the homeland from Baku are from the group of 62 servicemen of Shirak Province. This was announced by Boris Avagyan, the representative with special assignments of the President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan, during a conversation with journalists.
“The names will be published. The five are from the list of 62 of Shirak Province; this was the first group of those 62,” Avagyan said, adding that the criminal charges brought against them in Azerbaijan had complicated the process of returning the servicemen, but the fact that the first group is already in Armenia means the process is moving forward.
“I saw the boys, they are fine, their health condition is good, they are now undergoing medical examinations, and after that they will meet with their families,” he said.
