On 24 December 2019, a festive mood prevailed in the courtyard of the kindergarten of the Yeghegnut community in the Shahumyan region of the Republic of Artsakh. The reason for the general joy was that the community’s children would henceforth have a playground painted in fairytale colours, the construction of which was carried out on the initiative of members of the Artsakh Armenian Democratic Liberal Party and under the sponsorship of the American-Armenian benefactor, Honorary Member of the ADL Central Board, Hagop Nazayan.
The office of the Artsakh Armenian Democratic Liberal Party reported this to “Ramgavar Mamoul”, emphasizing that this seemingly small event brought great joy and delight to the community’s little ones and turned into a universal celebration.
Attending the official opening ceremony of the playground were the Chairman of the Artsakh Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, Bardugh Galstyan, a group of party colleagues who had arrived from Stepanakert, and the head of the Shahumyan regional administration, Gagik Martirosyan.
At the end of the event, the community’s residents received New Year gifts in the form of boxes containing 7 juices with preserves, while sports clothing of local production was distributed to large families.
In Yeghegnut, the New Year mood was seasoned with the ringing laughter of children, with a cheerful and full daily life.
