During his speech in the National Assembly on the course and results of the implementation of the 2020 program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia spoke about the issue of the de-occupation of the territory of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast.
“I want to emphasize that we must raise the issue of the de-occupation of the territory of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast as a political issue, a negotiation issue. But I say again: we must formulate this not as a military issue, but as a negotiation and political issue,” said the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
The core of the future negotiation process must be the implementation of the principle of “separation for the sake of salvation”: “You saw what events took place in Azerbaijan yesterday or the day before; it is simply something unimaginable, and I think that from all platforms, from all possible places, we must draw everyone’s attention to the fact that a museum of the sufferings and victims of war could be opened in a country, which is the greatest manifestation of Armenophobia and hatred. And this is the greatest basis for us to demonstrate to the international community the applicability of the principle of “separation for the sake of salvation” for Nagorno-Karabakh, which must form the core of our future negotiation process,” said Pashinyan.
