As of this moment we have 28 cases of diagnosis with the “corona” virus, of which 18 are connected to the case of the Etchmiadzin engagement party. None of the first 28 patients’ lives are in danger; only 2 cases in Etchmiadzin have pneumonia, the others simply have a fever or even do not, and the first patient has been discharged. This was announced by Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan during a Facebook live broadcast.
Pashinyan informed that of the 27 roads of Etchmiadzin, as of 23:00 only 3 roads will be open. “In the case of those open roads as well, the condition will be the following: rapid temperature checks will be conducted on the spot; those who have a fever will self-isolate,” he said.
The Prime Minister noted that the situation is under control.
As for the self-isolation of the Prime Minister’s family, he said: “Our family is still in Sevan; the news coming from Brazil was the first impetus for our isolation, but on Saturday we received a negative case, but today, in connection with the newly recorded case of the ‘corona’ virus in Meghri, let me say: on the road from Meghri to Yerevan I had contact with that citizen. An hour ago I took a new test; I will receive the answer after midnight. If it is positive, my family will continue to isolate; if not, tomorrow morning I will return to Yerevan and work from the government building, from my office,” he said.
