The winter 2019 conscription began on December 16. The first new recruits are to leave for compulsory term military service on December 16. This was announced by the RA Ministry of Defence’s Department of Information and Public Relations.
“The process of filling the armed forces is strictly controlled by the RA Ministry of Defence, the leadership of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and law enforcement bodies.
Thanks to the conscription-place selection lottery, introduced to ensure the coordinated work and consistency of all structures involved in the conscription, the legality and transparency of the conscription process, and the exclusion of corrupt practices, the implementation of the conscription process has been placed on a high footing.
Serving in the RA armed forces and ensuring the security of one’s own people and the defence of the homeland is the constitutional duty of every citizen of the RA. We call on the public to support the implementation of this measure of nationwide significance.
Let us remind that, by order of the RA Minister of Defence, a commission for the examination of citizens’ applications and complaints during the 2019 winter conscription has been established under the auspices of the Public Council attached to the RA Minister of Defence.
