In the fifth garrison investigative department of the Military Investigative Main Directorate of the RA Investigative Committee, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 104, Part 2, points 1, 2, 6, 7 and 13 of the RA Criminal Code, regarding the killing of three soldiers by gunfire from Azerbaijani armed forces units.
This was reported by the RA Investigative Committee.
According to preliminary information, on 11 January 2022, as a result of gunfire opened by the adversary towards a combat post located in the security zone of military unit N of the Ministry of Defence, positioned in the eastern direction of the RA, conscript soldiers, privates Artur Artiomi Mkhitaryan (born 2002), Vahan Vachakan Papayan (born 2003) and Rudik Rafiki Gharibyan (born 2002), sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
A preliminary investigation is underway.
Let us recall that on 11 January, in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Azerbaijani units carried out a provocation. In addition to the three victims, two more servicemen were wounded; their lives are not in danger.
