On the occasion of the day of remembrance of the victims of the pogroms organized by Azerbaijan and the protection of the rights of the forcibly displaced Armenian population, the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, visited the city memorial complex in Stepanakert on 28 February, paid tribute and laid a wreath at the monument perpetuating the memory of the Armenians who fell victim to the massacres organized by the Azerbaijani authorities.
Accompanying Arayik Harutyunyan to the memorial complex were the President of the National Assembly, Artur Tovmasyan, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, representatives of the legislative and executive bodies, and members of the Security Council.
Subsequently, a requiem service dedicated to the memory of the victims of the crime was conducted under the presidency of the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan.
