Ukraine’s Parliament Approves Extension of Martial Law and General Mobilisation by 3 Months

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted two bills simultaneously to the Rada (Supreme Council) for approval, concerning the extension of martial law and general mobilisation, TASS reported. Ukraine’s parliament has voted in favour of extending martial law and general mobilisation by 3 months. The term of martial law and mobilisation expires on 24 May. “The Rada has voted in favour of extending the term of martial law by 3 months, until 23 August. Mobilisation has also been extended by three months,” the news agency stated. Martial law was introduced in Ukraine on 24 February and has been extended several times.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted two bills simultaneously to the Rada (Supreme Council) for approval, concerning the extension of martial law and general mobilisation, TASS reported.

Ukraine’s parliament has voted in favour of extending martial law and general mobilisation by 3 months.

The term of martial law and mobilisation expires on 24 May.

Martial law was introduced in Ukraine on 24 February and has been extended several times. The previous extension was for 90 days.
