The United States stands by Armenia’s side. US President Joe Biden said this in a congratulatory message addressed to RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day. This was reported by the Prime Minister’s press service.
“We will continue to support the Armenian people’s democratic aspirations, sovereignty and security. The latest military actions underscore the need to redouble our diplomacy so that Armenia can look toward a prosperous and peaceful future, which includes the normalization of relations with neighbors,” Biden said in his message.
According to him, the United States remains committed to working with Pashinyan and other parties to support a peaceful resolution of the conflict, also for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Biden also noted that this year’s renewed US-Armenia strategic dialogue reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening ties in bilateral relations and underscored US support for Armenia’s democratic trajectory.
