At the conclusion of the Artsakh nationwide elections, under competitive conditions the people of Artsakh elected their new president and members of parliament.
The Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, as a participant in the elections through the alliance formed by its Artsakh structure, welcomes the elections held under competitive conditions that ensured the active participation of the people.
At the same time, it greatly values the positive presence and participation in the elections of the ADL’s Artsakh chapter, assuring that the ADL will continue to have its historic role in the establishment of a democratic and legal system, for the glory of the people of Artsakh.
The ADL believes that the time has come for national unity and consolidation, convinced that the strengthening of national unity and the consolidation of the people around common goals is today’s imperative and is vitally necessary for the security of Artsakh and its social and economic development.
Today it is more than evident that the realization of the principles of Ramgavarism and liberalism is a most important factor for Artsakh. Therefore, we are hopeful and believe that, proceeding from the interests of the Armenians of Artsakh, the newly elected authorities, by adopting the path of unity, will be guided by democratic principles and with full commitment will realize the vision of building a bright future for the Armenians of Artsakh.
The Armenian Democratic Liberal Party wishes success to the next President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, and to the authorities being formed.
We express special gratitude to our presidential candidate Masis Mayilyan, highly valuing above all his dignified, knowledgeable, balanced, professional diplomat character and his political path, as well as the conscious stance he adopted during the elections and the high responsibility he demonstrated regarding the future of Artsakh, and we consider the more than 26% of trust votes given to him an honorable success, for which we also express particular thanks to the citizens who entrusted their vote to our candidate.
With a call for nationwide unity and placing above all else the prevention of calamities threatening national security, the Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party comes once again to affirm that, remaining faithful to its principles of protecting the supreme interests of the Armenian people, through its structures in the Diaspora and its chapters in Armenia and Artsakh, it shall continue to devote all its means to the protection of the supreme interests of the Armenian people, to confronting pan-Armenian priority challenges, and to the strengthening and empowerment of the homeland.
