On the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by the Department of Information and Public Relations of the RA Prime Minister’s Office.
“Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
It is with great joy that I congratulate you on September 21, the occasion of your country’s Independence Day.
During the 29 years that have followed Armenia’s achievement of independence, the United States has stood by the Armenian people and supported your efforts toward building a modern democracy and economic development. We are ready to continue cooperation in areas of our common interest, including expanding bilateral trade and investment, strengthening the rule of law, regional stability, and supporting your country’s sovereignty.
Today’s challenges reaffirm once again the importance of our partnership. The ties between the Armenian and American peoples are undeniably strong and enduring, whether in jointly confronting the global pandemic of the new “Corona” virus or serving side by side in international peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan or Kosovo.
On the occasion of this special day, we wish you all the best and look forward to strengthening our friendship in the coming year,” the US President’s congratulatory message read.
