RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the delegation led by Deputy Director-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission Johannes Luchner.
Also present at the meeting were RA Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan and Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vasilis Maragos.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of the visa liberalisation process as an important direction for expanding the contacts, mobility and ties of RA citizens with EU countries.
Both sides noted the progress recorded toward the implementation of the visa liberalisation action plan.
The interlocutors also touched upon the work being carried out in the field of improving the migration management system, including the prevention of irregular migration, as well as improving return and readmission procedures and integrated border management.
