Russian President Vladimir Putin and European Council President Charles Michel discussed the situation in Mountainous Karabakh by phone. This was announced by the Kremlin press service.
“The situation around Mountainous Karabakh was discussed, taking into account the importance of the consistent implementation of the statements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of 9 November 2020 and 11 January 2021.
Among the priority issues mentioned were the unblocking of economic and transport links in the region and the resolution of humanitarian problems of the population.
Charles Michel expressed support for the ongoing work, including along the lines of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (Russia, USA, France),” the statement said.
