The Republic of Armenia has received new proposals from Azerbaijan regarding the peace treaty. Thus, we have entered the 4th round of negotiations on the draft treaty. This was stated by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.
“We are discussing and will present our observations in the coming days. We remain committed to the peace agenda and will not deviate from it,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
At the same time, he drew the attention of the international community to the fact that, contrary to point 8 of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, Azerbaijan has still not returned Armenian prisoners of war, hostages, and other detained persons. He also reminded that Azerbaijan continues to hold under occupation the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia seized as a result of the attacks of 1994, 2021, and 2022.
