RA President Armen Sarkissian issued a message on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the 1988 earthquake. As we learn from the statement released by the presidential staff, the message, in particular, said the following.
“Today we commemorate the memory of the victims of the December 1988 disaster — the earthquake.
I extend my words of consolation and solidarity to all my compatriots who, as a result of the devastating earthquake, lost their loved ones and relatives, their family and home.
In memory of our fallen compatriots, we can and must, united and together, through daily work and dedication, with hope and faith, build our strong home-Homeland, which will stand firm before any calamity.”
