15,000 Tourists Visit Van’s Akhtamar Island in Three Months

In the first quarter of 2022, approximately 15,000 tourists visited Van’s Akhtamar Island. It is noted that among the tourists were both locals and foreigners. These days, Van’s Akhtamar Island, as well as the Armenian Church of the Holy Cross, have generated great interest among Iranian tourists who visited Van to celebrate Nowruz. It should be noted that the summer months are considered the active tourist season in Van, when thousands of tourists visit the island.
