On 22 November, at approximately 18:10, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from small arms of various calibres toward Armenian positions located in the section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, specifically near the village of Norabak in Gegharkunik Province, as a result of which a conscript of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defence, Private Suren Yuriki Safaryan (born 2002), sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The RA Ministry of Defence shares the heavy grief of the loss and expresses its condolences to the family members, relatives and comrades-in-arms of Suren Safaryan.
As of 19:30, the exchange of fire had ceased.
