In the glorious triad of the ADL-Troag-AGBU in Aleppo, there were many benefactors and veterans who, with complete devotion and service, clung to their ideological-cultural-unionist inspiring life.
Aleppo was a contagious furnace, a fiery hearth, a patriotic stronghold and a fortress of Armenian identity-building, where successive generations were forged and molded, illuminating and brightening the Armenian communities of the Middle East.
In those processes, just as the visionaries of the older generations, with their national-ideological outlooks and upbringing, gave birth to a phalanx of sound-minded, serious and realistic generations, who became bright beacons of hope and light for the Armenians of Aleppo, because they knew how to become worthy heirs to their callings.
The Armenians of Aleppo, with their “leavening” quality, also became the anchor of “vitality” for the Armenians of Lebanon, where many were forged and tempered in their Armenianness, patriotism and Armenian identity-building, and these, undoubtedly, left deep imprints on those collectivities and community-preserving efforts that built communities, not only with their seeds of cultural and existential survival, but also became the driving and forging forces, with national tasks to keep them standing.

Levon belonged to the prominent and promising forces of those generations, who devoted his entire life to national IDEALS, with utmost zeal and precision, virtue and magnanimity.
He was known as a decent and sincere, upright and impartial, generous and mild-mannered national ideological figure, respected not only by his immediate circles, but also by numerous community and communal circles.
The terrible Syrian war and the sad fate of Aleppo caused Levon and his family to reluctantly leave their beloved birthplace, not for elsewhere, but for their HOMELAND, where he settled and continued his national-patriotic, ideological-unionist, as well as commercial activities, with great enthusiasm and unalloyed readiness.
There is no doubt that if in Aleppo he was formed as a typical and tireless national figure, then, in the homeland, he was and re-formed himself as one of the modern-day Ramgavar standard-bearers, believing that in his essence, existence and activity, he had no alternative and could not have one.
Personally, I have enjoyed Levon’s company and friendship many times, whenever I was invited to Aleppo, within the folds of the ADL or the Troag, to give public speeches, lectures and meetings, where Levon was among those modest notables who knew how to treat intellectuals, publicists and editors, and these were qualities that were not given to everyone.
The departure of such an honorable and worthy ideological friend undoubtedly moves everyone, with the hope that his memory remains unfading and unshaken.
You departed early and unexpectedly, dear Levon, but your exemplary deeds and warm friendly memories will not be forgotten.
