On Monday evening, November 25, a meeting took place in Glendale between representatives of the Central and Regional Boards of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party and Narine Aghabalian, Minister of Education, Science and Sports of Artsakh. She was accompanied by Robert Avetisyan, the representative of Artsakh in Washington.
Various issues concerning Artsakh, Armenia and the Armenian people were discussed, such as the upcoming parliamentary elections in Artsakh next year, social and economic matters, as well as the ADL’s new programs to be undertaken in Artsakh.
During the candid conversation, which lasted more than an hour, Mrs. Aghabalian presented the challenges facing Artsakh, and also spoke about this year’s two main goals of the “Hayastan” Fund’s fundraising campaign — providing clean drinking water and installing solar panels.
Narine Aghabalian is non-partisan and has held this responsible position for two years. Her husband, Edmond Barseghyan, was killed during the Artsakh liberation war.
