The 22nd national fundraising telethon organized by the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund has launched in Yerevan.
This year’s “Telethon-2019” carries the title “My Sweet Armenia: Life-Giving Water and Sun for Communities.”
The first 4 hours of the 12-hour pan-Armenian fundraiser will take place this year in Yerevan, while the following 8 hours will be broadcast from Los Angeles.
The funds raised during “Telethon-2019” will be directed toward the implementation of drinking water supply and solar energy programs in Artsakh, as well as in three provinces of Armenia — Tavush, Lori and Shirak. In total, more than one hundred communities will be provided with round-the-clock water supply, free heating and electricity.
The Fund’s website has also recently been renovated, at the same address, making the Fund’s work fully transparent and accountable to the Armenian nation, as well as providing the opportunity to make online donations in the manner of your choice.
This year’s telethon song of the Fund is called “My Sweet Armenia.” Charents’s famous poem has become not only this year’s slogan of the Fund, but also its unifying force.
