To the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople

Most Reverend Patriarch,
It was with deep joy of heart that we learned that the historic patriarchal see of Constantinople, after remaining vacant for more than a decade, now has its new 85th Patriarch in your person. Even more gratifying is the fact that the long-awaited elections passed in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.
On this occasion, in the name of the Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (ADL) and of the entire membership, we greet and cordially congratulate Your Eminence on your election as Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople.
We are more than confident that with your enthronement a new, bright and fruitful era will begin in the history of the Patriarchal See of Constantinople, and that the Patriarchate will ably continue to render its important and full service to the national and ecclesiastical life of the Armenian community of Turkey.
In conclusion, we congratulate Your Eminence once again as the newly elected Patriarch of Constantinople, and we wish you a long reign filled with ever-new accomplishments and rich service.
