Within the framework of the ADL centennial events, on 24 June 2022, a delegation of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, headed by Chairman Mike Kharapyan, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to pay tribute to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
A wreath was laid at the memorial in the name of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party. Party members laid flowers at the eternal flame immortalizing the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Subsequently, a tree was planted in the Tsitsernakaberd park on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party.
Then, in the area adjacent to Tsitsernakaberd, the planting of 300-400 trees was launched in the area being greened through the initiative and efforts of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, which will continue throughout the year.
Afterwards, the delegation of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party visited the Yerablur Pantheon to pay tribute to the memory of the Armenian sons who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the Homeland.
A wreath was laid in the name of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party at the memorial complex consisting of 21 columns.
Subsequently, the members of the delegation visited the grave of their comrade, ADL member of Artsakh, Artak Avagimyan, who was martyred during the defensive battles of Shushi in the 44-day Artsakh war, and after a Lord’s prayer, laid flowers on his grave and on the graves of the heroes of the Artsakh war.
It should be noted that the ADL Central Board had recently posthumously awarded Artak Avagimyan with the “Armenak Yekaryan” Military Commemorative Medal.
