On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., at the Consulate of the Republic of Armenia, a regular meeting took place between the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, Dr. Armen Baibourtian, and a delegation composed of the Central and Regional Boards of the ADL, headed by the Secretary of the Central Board, Dr. Raffi Balian.
Our ADL comrades went to the consulate with a wreath and candles to express our condolences to the people and state leaders of the homeland and Artsakh, on the occasion of the calamities inflicted upon our people by the Turks, Azerbaijanis, and mercenaries during the recent war.
Alongside the extensive destruction, nearly 5,000 martyred young Armenians closed their eyes forever because of this ill-fated war.
Mr. Baibourtian gave brief information about the provisions of the November 10 agreement, the heavy damages caused to Armenia’s economy and by the coronavirus pandemic, and the despair and pain of the people.
Our comrades conveyed to the Consul General the ADL party’s approaches and thoughts on these matters.
Our ADL leaders, deeply understanding the profound pain, shattered morale, and righteous indignation facing our people, all agreed that these days, more than ever, Armenians must unite and bring our people out of their state of despair, pain, and suffering, and that all should work with one heart and one soul to ensure the continued existence of our country. To work with a new spirit and approach to establish ties with friendly countries.
In conclusion, Dr. Baibourtian deeply appreciated the ADL’s patriotic and selfless dedication and service to our homeland and people.
After this warm and fruitful meeting, the Consul General and our ADL comrades went to the entrance of the consulate, where, alongside the flowers placed there by the people, they laid our party’s wreath and lit candles for the souls of the martyrs.
