A delegation from the ADL Lebanon Regional Board, headed by Dr. Avedis Dakesian and accompanied by Dr. Vigen Asilyan, Levon Barseghyan and Vigen Tosunyan, visited Lebanon’s Minister of Industry, Mr. Georges Boujikian, in his office at the ministry.
The delegation conveyed to Mr. Boujikian the greetings of the ADL Central Board and its unconditional support to assist the children of the Lebanese people, who are facing difficult economic conditions. The Board expressed its solidarity with the esteemed minister, who these days is the right person in the right position and who, with great patience, is contributing his share in the struggle to improve the economic conditions of the Lebanese people.
Mr. Boujikian expressed his satisfaction with this visit and stressed that he is making every effort to move the country a step forward. He emphasized the importance of the role played by the Armenian people in the countries where they reside. He presented his program in general terms to develop Lebanon’s industry and raise it to the international level, so that it can find markets abroad. The Minister also stressed the importance of unity at this fateful juncture.
The members of the ADL delegation appreciated the work carried out by Mr. Boujikian and wished him success. At the end of the meeting, which lasted about an hour, the parties promised to remain in communication in order to overcome all the obstacles facing our people.
