Japanese Press Features Eiichi Shibusawa for Aid to Armenian Genocide Victims

The Japanese newspaper Nikkei, in its October 20 issue, published an article about the renowned Japanese businessman and philanthropist, friend of the Armenian people, Eiichi Shibusawa, who in the 1920s rendered great assistance in Japan to Armenians who had escaped the Genocide. This was reported by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Japan.  The article also makes reference to the visit of President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian to the Shibusawa Memorial Museum-Foundation in Tokyo on July 23 of this year, during which the President of the Republic of Armenia presented the “Henry Morgenthau” commemorative medal
