On Wednesday, October 16, at the initiative of the ADL’s Armenian-Iranian Council, a fundraising event took place in a very intimate setting.
That day, in the presence of some twenty-five people, with the greatest national and patriotic awareness, a sum of 65 thousand dollars was raised within half an hour, and the undertaking took place in the luxurious Garden of Foothill hall in Tahanqa, hosted by Council member Hrand Vartzpetyan.
That day, words of encouragement were delivered by Dr. Raffi Balyan, Panik Keshishyan (members of the Central Board), David Samvelyan, Henrik Misirlyan, and Mr. Hrand Vartzpetyan.
The meeting’s blessing at the opening and closing prayer was performed by the Reverend Father Asoghik Jamkochyan.
On Friday, October 23, at 4:00 p.m., a delegation from the ADL’s Armenian-Iranian Council held a meeting at the office of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund with the Fund’s president for the entire United States, the energetic national figure Mrs. Maria Mehranian, handing over the raised sum of 65 thousand dollars.
The Fund’s distinguished president greatly appreciated the work of the Armenian-Iranian Council and noted that, like all Armenian organizations, the ADL’s responsible figures have always stood behind the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund since its very first day.
On the same day, a delegation from the ADL’s Central Board and the Western Regional Board, by prior appointment, held a meeting with the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, Ambassador Armen Baibourtian.
Dr. Baibourtian, with warm and cordial words, appreciated the ADL leaders for their constant support and service to the homeland and Artsakh.
He provided detailed information about the inhuman attacks carried out by the Turks, Azerbaijanis, and mercenaries on the fronts of Artsakh and against the peaceful population. Dr. Baibourtian noted with satisfaction that Artsakh’s valiant army has so far been able to repel all aggressions and defend our homeland of Artsakh.
