On Monday, 28 March 2022, representatives of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party, the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation held a meeting at the S.D.H.P. centre in New Hadjin.
For the first time, representatives of the Armenian political parties addressed the anti-Armenian programmes unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh — the organised incursions and provocations aimed at seizing new territories and depopulating Artsakh.
The participants stressed that it is necessary to confront this new and dangerous Turkish-Azerbaijani expansionist obsession with the full mobilisation of nationwide forces, and to make this new anti-Armenian programme the focus of attention of political circles and public opinion on international platforms.
The meeting then discussed the programme for the 107th anniversary commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. It was decided to organise a demand march, as well as a youth-student vigil-gathering, with the participation of all youth and student unions and organisations operating in Lebanon.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to address the latest developments in Lebanon’s political life and the agenda of the parliamentary elections to be held on 15 May.
