The situation on the eastern border of the Republic of Armenia, where Armenian positions had come under a large-scale attack by units of the Azerbaijani armed forces yesterday, is relatively stable as of 10:00 on November 17, and the ceasefire agreement is largely being maintained.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, noting that as a result of the military operations of November 16, the adversary has up to 70 dead and wounded soldiers, as well as significant losses of military equipment.
The Armenian side has 1 dead and 13 captured soldiers. Contact has been lost with another 24 soldiers during the military operations, and their fate is currently unknown. Intensive efforts are underway to locate the soldiers. Two combat positions have come under the adversary’s control.
With the mediation of the Russian side, negotiations are underway regarding the resolution of the situation and the return of the captured Armenian soldiers.
