The advance group of the CSTO mission has developed proposals for de-escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
The press service of the CSTO Joint Staff reported that a consultation was held at the Armenian Ministry of Defence, dedicated to the results of the work of the CSTO mission’s advance group in Armenia.
“Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, who heads the advance group, informed Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan of the results of the analysis of the situation in certain sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the main conclusions, and proposals regarding appropriate measures.
A frank, constructive exchange of views took place. The developed proposals are aimed at easing the tensions that have arisen.
After the meeting, the advance group departed for Moscow,” the statement said.
