At the age of 66, Dana Mazalova, a dedicated friend of the Armenian people and Czech journalist, has passed away.
President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan expressed condolences on his Twitter page regarding the death of the renowned Czech journalist.
The message reads, in part: “It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of Czech lawyer and renowned journalist Dana Mazalova.
During the years of the Artsakh liberation struggle, Dana Mazalova visited Armenia and Artsakh numerous times, covering and consistently addressing the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict, and providing reliable information on various authoritative international platforms about the events taking place in Artsakh.
Despite the difficulties and dangers, which were not lacking either during hostilities or in the post-war period, Dana Mazalova always stood out with the best qualities characteristic of a true journalist—principled stance and impartiality.
I extend my sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased and share in their grief.”
