Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, is to depart for Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, to familiarise himself with the needs of representatives of the Armenian community following the powerful explosion that took place there. This was announced by Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan during the government session on 6 August.
“Today we discussed and decided that the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs will depart for Beirut to familiarise himself on the spot with the needs of our community and to present them to us,” said Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister noted that Sinanyan will depart for Beirut in the coming days on a plane to be sent there, which will deliver medical supplies and equipment to the government of Lebanon.
