Foreign Ministry spokesperson Anna Naghalyan has denied the information according to which the US government had made a demand before the Armenian authorities to withdraw the humanitarian mission from Syria.

Naghalyan addressed the issue in response to a question from Aysor.am:

“We have already denied that information on numerous occasions. At present, an attempt is being made by a state body to recirculate information already denied, with newly fabricated details that likewise do not correspond to reality, thereby forming a multi-layered fake news item.

We consider the unfounded speculation on issues related to the security of the Syrian Armenian community and the support provided to it, driven by narrow personal interests, unacceptable. Aside from the topic, I would simply add that the agencies working in the security sector and their heads are in constant consultation on various issues, as has been repeatedly stated by the heads of those agencies as well,” Naghalyan said.
