Because of the blockade by Azerbaijan of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia, four patients from the “Republican Medical Center” of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh, along with six patients, were transferred today, 23 January, to various specialized medical centers of the Republic of Armenia through the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Scheduled surgeries continue to remain suspended in the medical institutions operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh.
In the “Arevik” medical association, 12 children are in the neonatal and intensive care units.
In the “Republican Medical Center,” 11 patients are in the intensive care unit, 4 of whom are in extremely critical condition.
Until today, a total of 46 patients have been transferred from Artsakh to Armenia through the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
