In Toronto, Ramgavar Azadagan Party (RAP) Chairman Mike Kharpian visited His Holiness Aram I, the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia.
The meeting was an occasion to address the challenges facing our people, both in Armenia and the diaspora. Within this framework, Mike Kharpian proposed to His Holiness that a meeting be initiated once again among the top representatives of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, and the RAP. He also recalled that similar meetings held years ago at the initiative of His Holiness had proven highly beneficial in terms of inter-party cooperation. He simultaneously stressed that such a meeting organized around pan-diasporan agendas — such as the Genocide, Artsakh, and the Armenian Cause in general, as well as repatriation cooperation agendas — could prove greatly advantageous.
His Holiness, welcoming such a proposal, stressed the vital necessity of inter-party activity in the present fateful times of our history.
