By prior appointment, on Thursday afternoon, October 23, a delegation of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party’s Cyprus Regional Board, headed by Chairman Hagop Khurshudian, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Cyprus.
The main purpose of the visit was to congratulate Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mrs. Inna Torgomyan on the occasion of her appointment to this responsible post, and to welcome the encouraging reality of finally having an Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Cyprus.
Mrs. Torgomyan and the diplomatic protocol assistant, Mr. Leon Yaghoubian, warmly received the members of the delegation, who, after expressing their congratulations, emphasised that, by the definition of its national creed, the ADL is pre-eminently a state-minded party, for which every homeland authority that earns the trust of our compatriots in the homeland through free, fair and transparent elections is dear. They also added that it is the Party’s unshakable conviction that it is absolutely and exclusively the right of our sisters and brothers in the homeland to manage the present, as well as the future, of Armenia.
Then followed a cordial, yet at the same time substantive and highly constructive conversation lasting more than an hour, during which the groundwork was laid for close mutual cooperation.
