During the first three months of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Armenia (1 March to 31 May), 5,873 organisations and individual entrepreneurs temporarily suspended their operations. This was reported by the State Revenue Committee, as conveyed by NEWS.am.
This figure is 41 percent higher than in the same period last year (in the same quarter of 2019 it was 4,164).
According to the source, state and community non-commercial organisations and state administrative institutions were not counted among the organisations that temporarily suspended operations.
It is no secret that in the crisis situation caused by the coronavirus, many countries of the world have faced such a problem, but many states have established tax concessions for the most vulnerable sectors.
In particular, with the aim of mitigating the economic consequences of the coronavirus, the United States, Russia, Portugal, Kazakhstan and Georgia granted tax holidays to the sectors most affected by the pandemic.
