The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia reports that on 21 June, the first group of Russian doctors arrived in Armenia on a special flight to support the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Around 50 Russian doctors have responded to the Ministry of Health’s initiative. According to the established schedule, they will arrive in Armenia in separate professional groups.
The next group’s visit is planned for early July. Medical equipment and personal protective gear donated to the Ministry of Health were also transported to Armenia by the flight.
“We express our gratitude for the donation to the ‘Viva’ charitable foundation and to Doctor of Medical Sciences Kevork Melkonyan, a member of the foundation’s board of trustees,” the ministry’s statement said.
