Menuas Hovhannisyan, the son of the well-known television presenter Karin Tonoyan, has been awarded the title of “Hero of Artsakh” by the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan.

I came to know Karin Tonoyan’s son as a true Armenian knight, whose heroic act was foreseeable from the moment he went into battle. He became immortal in the name of his two young children and in the name of our people’s proud and dignified future…
I extend my condolences to his family and all his loved ones.
The Homeland gives due recognition to his feat on the battlefield. By my decree, Menuas Hovhannisyan has been awarded the highest title of ‘Hero of Artsakh.’

I read the open letter of Menua’s mother, Karin Tonoyan, addressed to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan. Dear Mrs. Tonoyan, as the President of the Republic of Artsakh, I want to promise in the name of our Homeland’s defenders that we will surely uphold the message you voiced in the name of all our bereaved mothers, and we will not yield our Artsakh to the enemy,” President Harutyunyan wrote on his social media page.
