Dear members of the AYF and compatriots,
The year 2021 is soon coming to an end, and all of us together will welcome the coming new year, 2022.
The year 2021 was a year of recovery for the Armenian nation. After the 44-day Artsakh war, the Armenian nation from different parts of the world turned its gaze towards the homeland, especially Artsakh. Our Federation did not remain aloof from the task of being useful to Artsakh and, to the extent of its ability, became a participant in that priority task. In Lebanon too, they are slowly trying to restore the happy and peaceful days of the past.
At the end of 2021, I want to note that we were able to successfully carry out many events together, but many tasks also remained unfulfilled, which we will try to bring to life in 2022, again with your help. As Yeghishe Charents says: “O Armenian people, your only salvation is in your united strength.” I want us to be united this year as well, as in the previous year, so that we can, with the success of our new undertakings, call the year 2022 a year of successes at its end.
Dear ones, today Jerusalem is living through difficult days. The situation known to all of us should be an alarm for all of us that Jerusalem is waiting for our help. May the year 2022 unite us around Armenian Jerusalem, so that together we may again shape its future, for the benefit of coming generations.
In October 2022, the Armenian Youth Federation will celebrate its 85th anniversary. My Board has already begun preparatory work, and we hope that we will be able to realize all the planned programs together, cooperating with all our members, men and women, living in Jerusalem and abroad.
In the first months of 2022, the Board will present all the programs it has planned on the occasion of the 85th anniversary celebrations.
Dear ones,
On behalf of myself and the Board, I congratulate you all on the New Year and the coming Holy Christmas, and I wish that the year 2022 be for all of us a year of peace, strength, and success, so that we may unite and work together for the benefit of our nation and homeland.
Happy New Year and Holy Christmas
