Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. This was announced by the government.
The leaders of Armenia and France discussed the grave humanitarian situation created in Artsakh as a result of the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan for over a month and a half now.
President Macron underscored the importance of the uninterrupted functioning of the Lachin corridor and confirmed France’s readiness to continue contributing to the resolution of this issue.
They also touched upon matters relating to the regulation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the protection of the rights and security of the people of Artsakh, and the activities of the European Union civilian mission in Armenia.
